Wye has a train station with good links to London (1 hour 20 minutes), and also the coast. There are regular trains to Ashford (5 minutes) and Canterbury (15 minutes). Eurostar services to the continent run from Ashford, while the channel tunnel is 20 minutes away. The ferry port of Dover is 30 minutes which give further opportunities for day trips to France and Belgium.
The famous seaside town of Whitstable, atmospheric Romney Marsh, historic Deal, the Royal Cinque Port of Sandwich, and the quaint fishing town of Broadstairs are all within easy driving distance.
Other attractions within an hours drive include Dover Castle, Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks, and the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway.
